I would, once again, advise that this toilet product has been a "gift from Heaven" for my wife, Betty. Due to the advancement of her lower motor neuron disease, she was having extreme difficulty getting off the toilet even with bars and a raised seat. Raising the bars created such a bad angle for her weakened arms that it was no help. The Valette was the total answer since the distance from seat and arms remains constant as it goes up or down. Betty continually says to me, "Have I told you how much I love my new toilet?". It has become her reminding comment that most problems do have a solution. Installation of the Valette took place yesterday and was as easy as you promised. Our local handyman set up the Valette in about an hour. It is sturdy, secure and comfortable and it works!! Getting on by myself was easy and I was able to get off with no assistance at all. I felt safe, in control, and independent. Now, I will no longer require a companion in my home on the three morning a week when my wife is away at work. The Valette will actually pay for itself. Dick Shlakman I am a C5-6 incomplete quadriplegic from a broken neck in 1974. I walk with the help of a walker and leg braces. To stand up from a seated position, I put my arms behind me and push up. The eventually caused a serious shoulder injury. The State of Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Division purchased a Valette for the public restroom in my CPA office. It has enabled me to stand up easily without any strain to my shoulders. It also does not interfere with the normal use of the commode by other able-bodied persons. I had written to you about it, in return a very professional and caring representative called, named Janet. She pinpointed my problem which was that the water pressure needed to be increased to 40 psi. I told her I didn't know what to do until I discovered the product in Quest.
