PAPI-LIFT Testimonials

I would just like to say a few words about how great the Papi-Lift has been for me.
I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy type III and have great difficulty getting up and walking.
Without the Papi-Lift, I would have to depend on using a bedpan or having someone to
lift me off the toilet. With the Papi-Lift, I can keep my independence and go to the restroom in
private without someone to assist me.

I have recently purchased the Papi-Lift I saw advertised in Quest Magazine, and I am living proof that it does work.
I have F.S.H. Muscular Dystrophy and my legs and arms have been getting weaker to the point where I was getting
stuck on my toilet. My current toilet was already 18" heigh with another 3" elevated seat and still I was unable to get off
at times.
My life consisted of bringing the phone into the bathroom with me each and everytime, not knowing when I would get stuck.
When that did happen I would have to call family and friends to lift me off, which was totally embarassing and frustrating.
I was skeptical of finding something that would be strong enough or go up high enough to get off of.
Well, I was truly amazed when the Papi-Lift worked. The first time was a little scary, but by only the second time I felt safe and how it worked.
I no longer bring the phone into the bathroom and my family or friends don't wait by the door for me. I tell them I'm fine, I can do it myself.
Most of all, I never have to worry about getting stuck on the toilet.
Thanks to the Papi-Lift and Janet Lippa, who already knew it would work. I just had to find out for myself.

I want to thank you all for the fine service you have given me. As you know, I purchased a Papi-Lift several months ago and find it to be a very fine product.
I have a muscle disease that has robbed me of my ability to get up from a low surface such as a standard chair, toilet, bed, etc. I found that trying to sit down
on a surface that is high enough for me to get off is too high to get on. Enter the Papi-Lift: it is low for me to go on and high for me to get off. It has been a great
product for me, and my care-givers have found it to be a great advantage to them.
I am impatiently waiting for my Ric Chair, as I believe it will have as many advantages to me as the Papi-Lift.
I am sending a copy of your literature to the Mytosis Association, as I think they should know about your products so they may let others know what is available
to make life easier.

Congratulations. Your company, Clark Medical Products has done it again. You have been able to customize the Papi-Lift to meet the needs of a person with a
neurological muscle disease.
The standard, mass produced toilet "elevating devices" adds an additional six inches of height. Not high enough to bring a severely disabled person to a standing position
and still requires a second person to do a partial physical lift.
How wonderful it would be if all Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Homes for the Aged had your Papi-Lift available for the patients and residents.
In closing, may I again thank you for a job well done.

I just wanted to write you and thank you for making Papi-Lift! It has truly made a difference in my husband's and my life.
My husband suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (also known as Lou Gerhigs Disease). He has lost most of the
use of his arms and has little upper body strength at all. With your Papi-Lift, he is able to remain independent in the
bathroom and if you have ever had that privacy taken away you would know how much that means. It is very
dependable and the design is just perfect from the easy to use rocker switch to the padded arms and back. It is easy to
recharge and also to clean. It is the greatest!
It is with products such as yours that help us fight this A.L.S. battle and maintain as normal of a life as possible. It works so well
I have ordered as second one for our home in Atlanta.

I have fascioscapulohumoral (F.S.H.) muscular dystrophy. This neuromuscular disease concentrates on the named muscles, but in addition to the muscles of the arms
and shoulders, all of the muscles of the body are affected and progressively weaken. The use of both my arms and legs are affected and I have required the use of
an electric wheelchair for the past eleven years.
My ability to transfer myself between my wheelchair and the toilet is greatly hindered. By the time I transfer I'm exhausted. Often it takes me 15 - 20 minutes to go to the
bathroom. Most of this time is spent in the transfer process.
My bathroom is small, thus making it very difficult to allow a second person the capability of helping me. I have a handicap toilet, which is 18" tall. On top of this there is also
an elevated seat. Handrails are also on the sides of the stool. Despite all of these aids, transferring is still very difficult.
I am capable of staying at home alone during the day, when my daughter is at work. But my familiy's ability to assist me is also limited due to their own mobility problems.
I saw the Papi-Lift advertised in the MD magazine, Quest, and thought that this could be an answer to my transfer problem. I purchased one, and am very glad I did.
It has become not only a great help, but a necessity to me. With the Papi-Lift, I can now transfer to and from the toilet with much more ease. It now takes only one time for
me to transfer, not the numerous attempts it took me previously to get both on and off the toilet. With the use of the Papi-Lift, I can also rearrange my clothing for toileting
purposes, without needing to ask for help.
The Papi-Lift has helped me retain more independence and privacy. The transfer to and from the toilet is easier and less time-consuming. I am not as worried about falling
during the transfer. Going to the bathroom is no longer such an exhausting job.

Since I became affected by Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, it has become more and more difficult for me to raise myself from the toilet seat. I tried the Papi-Lift and it "saved my life"!.
Finally, I could go to the bathroom all by myself and get up from the seat without any effort! The Papi-Lift is marvelous and I recommend it to anyone having difficulty to raise from a seat.
You'll see that you'll be able to lift like a charm because the Papi-Lift can lift as high as an upright position.
When I broke my knee, I could not even walk to the toilet. Because the Papi-Lift has wheels, it could be brought to my bed and I could sit on it, and then move over to the toilet. My accident
became less of a problem because of the Papi-Lift!
Really, I cannot do without my Papi-Lift. It gives me the opportunity to be independent in my apartment.
Thank you, Mr. Clark for giving me this autonomy with this "8th Wonder of The World", the marvelous and extraordinary Papi-Lift!
